His Eminence the Supreme Apostolic Protector Alexander.

His Eminence Alexander, the incumbent Supreme Apostolic Protector of the United Holy Church of the Thirteen Apostles.

The United Holy Church of the Thirteen Apostles was founded on 9 December 2013 and is permanently led by Supreme Apostolic Protector elected by the Board of Bishops.

As the name suggests, differently from traditional Christian denominations, we recognize thirteen, not twelve Apostles – Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew, James, Judas, Simon, Matthias and Muhammad.

While the idea of considering Muhammad one of the Apostles might seem weird or even crazy at first glance, the truth is that he, albeit being separated by centuries from his predecessors, undoubtedly continued doing the same task the Great Architect of the Universe entrusted to his messengers. In the same way that Jesus and the first Apostles were spreading the word of verity in Roman pagan society, Muhammad was catechizing the tribes of the Arabian Peninsula, by that time pagan too. Obviously, because of evident geographical and epochal differences, the work of Muhammad could not be the same as that of his predecessors; however, it is also obvious that Jesus and the twelve, as well as Muhammad, did an equally significant contribution to the spread of monotheism in largerly pagan societies.

The doctrine of the United Holy Church of the Thirteen Apostles is summarized in the Creed:

We bear witness that there is no god but the Great Architect of the Universe, the Almighty Father, maker of all things visible and invisible who reigns over heavens and earth, who created them with the might of his word.

And that there is one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of Great Architect, begotten of the Almighty Father before all worlds, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down and was incarnate and was made man; who suffered, and the third day rose again, ascended into heaven; from thence he shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end.

And in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceedeth from the Father, who spreadeth through the Son, who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, who spake by the prophets.

And that the Thirteen Apostles – Peter, Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew, James, Judas, Simon, Matthias and Muhammad – are the messengers of the Great Architect of the Universe, to whom he entrusted to spread the word of verity among all the peoples.

In one Holy and Apostolic Church we believe, led by the Great Architect of the Universe, the Thirteen Apostles and the Supreme Apostolic Protector, their Vicar on Earth; we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins, we look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

As such, we consider our mission to be the same as that of the Thirteen Apostles – to spread the word of verity among all the peoples, to promote peace and harmony, to prepare Earth to that day when Jesus and the Thirteen descend from Heavens with glory.
